Infected with Azkaban Virus?

Scenario:Azkaban virus replicate itself to all writable drives you may have, it also have a batch file and Autorun function that when you restart your computer it will activate the virus and it will return back all the original settings. Here’s how to solve it:

1. First, make sure you have an updated Ad-aware Program installed in your PC (e.g. Ad-Aware 2007).
2. Run that ad-aware program to temporarily delete the functionality of the virus. Once done, do not restart your computer yet.
3. Disconnect your Internet Connections.
   a. To remove the virus; search and find ALL FILES of the following by using a DOS Mode (recommended). These files are Hidden & Read Only, you must clear the attributes to delete the file.
   b. All Azkaban file (e.g. Azkaban.*)
   c. Autorun.inf (To make sure; you can use the internal dos command type to look into its contents) “type autorun.inf”, if you find an Azkaban in that Autorun.inf file, it is confirm that is a virus file.
   d. Remember to Search all your Drives
   NOTE: Use this command (attrib –s –r –h Azkaban.*) and (attrib –s –r –h autorun.inf)
4. Now, let’s modify/edit the registry.
5. Make sure to Create Restore Point before editing the Registry.
6. Once created, execute the following.
7. Click on Start / Run and then type regedit
8. Find and delete all folders with Azkaban value
9. Find and delete all folders with ImgInsoy value
10. That’s it. You are now virus FREE!
11. Restart your PC
