Scenario: In order to be more effective in removing viruses; anti-virus program must be updated daily through Internet; what if you don’t have an Internet but you have an original anti-virus program?
Here’s how to do it:
1. First of, in order to start with this procedure make sure you have a valid username and password from your Anti-virus program; for instance Panda Anti-virus’s Activation Code.
2. This is the Site that you are going to enter: http://www.pandasecurity.com/homeusers/downloads/clients.
3. In this Page you will find the Virus Signature File. Below that is the link of the file which named the DATE OF THE LATEST virus definition file.
4. Save the file in any folder first before placing to where it should be (e.g. My Documents).
5. Once downloading is done, copy the file from the folder you have placed the virus definition file and then paste it to this folder C:\Program Files\Panda Security\Panda Antivirus 2008, where drive C: is my default drive where my Panda Anti-virus program was located. Some of you may have placed it somewhere else. If that is the case just replace the C: Drive to any Drive you have installed your Panda Anti-virus Program.
Note: If for instance you cannot PASTE to the said folder due to sharing violation or used file, what I want you to do is restart your PC and load it to SAFE MODE. Repeat the procedure by copying and pasting it to where it belong. Note: Please check my other article on how to load it to SAFE MODE.
