Scenario: When you bought a brand new notebook such as HP 520 Notebook PC without any operating system included and you encounter a problem when you are installing your operating system such as Windows XP, you will notice that within the installation process you will encounter a weird scenario that Windows XP will not detect your harddrive. How did it happen? Harddrive are properly installed and detected in the CMOS.

If you happen to encounter this problem, here is the solution:

1. First, enter into its CMOS Setup by pressing F10 key.

2. Next disable this settings named “SATA Native Drive”.

3. Don’t forget to accept and save the said settings as HP CMOS setup is different from other computers CMOS setup.

4. Save the changes and exit.

Ola, that will definitely solve the problem.
