Scenario: In Windows XP, if you encounter a problem “Write Protection error on your Flash Disk”, and this happens when you transfer a file from your harddisk to your flash disk or even creating a file direct to it. This type of error is seldom.

Here’s how to solve the problem:

1. Click on START, click on RUN

2. Type-in REGEDIT

3. Locate this Folder from your registry

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CURRENTCONTROLSET/CONTROL/STORAGEDEVICEPOLICIES

4. Delete the DWORD 32-bit value and create same DWORD but leave its value as is.

5. The name of the DWORD is “WriteProtect”, you must re-create same name as the original.

That’s it.
