Scenario: Most of the users of Word 2007 nowadays do not like the default settings of its Paragraph Line Spacing and its Before and After Space. My client question is, can we change or update the default settings of Microsoft Word 2007? And my answer is YES, it is possible.

Here’s how:

1. First, is to open your Microsoft Word 2007 by double clicking is program icon into your desktop or you can also launch it by clicking the Start button.

2. Once the application is loaded, click on Page Layout, within Page Layout click on the small square with an arrow located below or by simply right mouse clicking anywhere in the Body Text then click Paragraph

3. A Paragraph dialog box will be displayed, under Indents and Spacing, we will be replacing the default value of the following: a. Line Spacing value from Multiple to Single b. Spacing After from 10pt to 0pt.

4. Once you have changed or editted its value, click of Default Button below.

5. A message stating “Do you want this change to affect all new documents based on NORMAL template?”, just click YES

6. Now, i want you to exit your Word 2007 and re-open it.

That’s it.

NOTE: You can changed/update anytime when necessary.
